if it was me to be honest with you, i hear pretty much distortion everywhere. its not about a simple beat you need to construct but also soundquality counts ;)
and a sudden change arond 2:37..
i dont like this kind of change if i may be honest.
the melody is too sharp imo, and not housy enough.
and at 2:42 it sounds like the song just stops like its done or something...
its not good to put such pauzing into a song.

    ljkDICKJUSTICE responds:

hey man, thanks for your review, i do appreciate constructive criticism a lot!
yes, the distortion was bugging me quite a bit...
i lost my good headphones so cutting lower frequencies was a pain in the ass.
    :|
my mastering isn't the best, but i believe it gets better every song i make!
    kudos to you, man.

    makes you smile instantly :D
the effect at teh start is nicely done.
your melody all in all is really happy/upbeat.
and i love the bass sound you used.

    ForeverBound responds:

That's why it's called Happy Holiday. But i'm glad u love it :D

    imo it sounds like perfection,
so please consider to mess around more often ;)

    tomdink responds:

Haha thanks so much! I really appreciate the reviews a lot, it's always encouraging :D

    your low's are nearly perfect.
i myself have lots of trouble with low's like MANY other producers have too.
so its kind of a miracle if its been done like this.
i think this is a nice remix, more chilled imo bc of the PAD so much more into the spotlight.

    Valtanen responds:

By hearing this you can hear that I have some trouble with the high end. :D

    its sounds totally 80's o_O
    and thats totally awsome o_O

    ArcaneSoul responds:

    it....it does? O_O
    how?

    its more chill indeed.
your kick only lacks the bass part (in short; the tail -as in; the tail in the kickdrum waveform)
i dont know if this is going to my fav's or not..
but imma have to vote this a 4.

    Daydream-Anatomy responds:

I usually keep my kicks pretty tight, makes the off bass shine which I use a lot, too much maybe>>

    Thanks for the review:]

yet again, where many dream to archieve, you kept it simple and catchy.
i have no further hints or tips as i dont hear anything that could be improved or atleast could be done better.
so i will just have to tell you to keep going like this, and perhaps one day, a spotlight will aim for you.

    ForeverBound responds:

i really appreciate your review =)

Lol really so many little 4 year old kids saying this 'upbeat kinda thing' is Techno..
    its almost hilarious.
anyways, this sounds like a proper upbeat-dance/DnB song. i have got allot of tips and hints
since this isnt my kinda genre.
but i do recon it needs a little more mastering:P

    ForeverBound responds:

thanks and i will try to master it better. really Thanks for your review =)

as much as i hate hip-hop, rap and RnB.
this comes close to a perfect electronical piece.

    TheZaaL responds:

Close??? I guess that's good, then!!

specialized in: Anti-Climaxing. most of my current projects are mastered to be played at a live stage! meaning: i rarely make a 'home-listening' track.
